Services & Pricing

Every service starts the same way — a conversation about what you actually want. Then clippers, shears and a straight razor until it is right.

Barber clippers and guard attachments laid out on slate

Skin & Taper Fade

$50

Bald, mid or low — blended clean with no lines left behind, finished with a razor edge-up around the neck and temples.

About 45 minutes
Barber shears and a cutting comb laid out on slate

Men's Haircut

Scissor work, clipper work, or both. Classic side part, textured crop, business cut — cut to your hair, not to a template.

About 40 minutes
Beard trimmer, brush and folding comb laid out on slate

Beard Trim & Line-Up

$30

Shaped to your jaw, tapered at the cheek and neck, then lined with a straight razor and finished with hot towel and balm.

About 45 minutes
A folded barber cape with a comb and neck duster brush

Kids' Cut

$35

Patient, unhurried and used to wiggling. First haircut? Tell us when you book and we will make a small occasion out of it.

About 30 minutes
A full barber tool kit laid out in a row on slate

Cut + Beard

$65

The full reset. Haircut and beard shaped together so the two actually line up, because they are one look, not two services.

About 1 hour

Also on the menu: neck & edge cleanup from $25, senior cuts, and head shaves. Pricing can vary slightly by barber and hair length — call (805) 280-6804 and we will quote you straight.

The Shop

A Real Barber Shop,
Right Downtown

Champ's is owner-operated by Emilio Resendiz, tucked into Unit #4 on Anacapa Street with the entrance around on Gutierrez. It is the kind of shop where the barber remembers your name, your kid's name, and exactly how short you like the sides.

No pretense and no upselling — just clean work, honest prices and a chair that is worth the short wait when the shop is busy.

  • Family friendly. Every age, every hair type, first haircuts included.
  • Sports on the TV. Sit down, catch the game, get cleaned up.
  • Free Wi-Fi if you would rather get some work done while you wait.
  • Walk-ins welcome all day — appointments just skip the wait.

The Owner

From Acapulco to Anacapa Street

Emilio Resendiz grew up boxing in Acapulco and came to California at thirteen with three younger brothers, settling in San Luis Obispo. He spent afternoons in a family friend's barbershop — which is where the trade found him.

He graduated from Bakersfield Barber College in 2010 and worked alongside his brothers at Los Amigos on Milpas Street before opening Champ's on Anacapa in 2015.

“There's no perfect haircut. What makes a barber stand above the others is customer service.”

Good to Know

Questions, Answered

Do you take walk-ins?
Yes — walk-ins are welcome any time we are open. Appointments get priority on Fridays and Saturdays, so if you need a cut before the weekend it is worth calling ahead.
Where do I park?
There is metered street parking right on Anacapa Street, and the City of Santa Barbara public lots a block away give you the first 75 minutes free — more than enough time for a cut.
Do you cut kids' hair?
Always. Champ's is a family shop and we are used to the wiggling. If it is a first haircut, mention it when you book and we will take our time and make it a good memory.
What days are you closed?
Closed Tuesdays and Sundays. Open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM.
How should I pay?
Cash, major cards, Venmo and PayPal are all fine. Tips are always appreciated and never expected.
Can I book a specific barber?
Of course — pick your barber in the request form or ask for them by name when you call. Emilio Jr. takes bookings online through Booksy, or call the shop for any barber.

Fresh Cut. Same Day.

The chair is open on Anacapa Street. Walk in, or call ahead and we will have it ready.
